10dB Acoustics was formed in 1996 by Gordon Brown, and his wife, Alison, who provides
administrative and computer services. Gordon’s background is that he is a former
Environmental Health Officer who has specialised in Pollution Control, primarily
dealing with acoustics and noise control. A Fellow of the Institute of Acoustics
and corporate member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, Gordon holds
the Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control of the Institute of Acoustics. He is an
Accredited Tutor for the IoA Certificates of Competence in Workplace Noise Risk Assessment
and Environmental Noise Measurement.
